The Barn Blog

An early autumn view of The Barn

2/4/2020

We’ve been so lucky to ‘isolate’ ourselves in this Village. This is Sylvie pup and I just listening to the birds and resisting the urge to rake the leaves! We are learning to slow down and the bird calls have been beautiful. Ignore the machinery (ever present still!) and listen for the Eastern Whipbird. A sound of the rainforest here in Bickleigh Vale. I’ve not heard the distinctive whip here before?
PS. Paul will tell me off for videoing with the camera portrait so I’ll apologise here first!!

Wishing for sunshine again today

Planting some veggies today. Hoping to keep them safe from possums and other cheeky visitors

I really should have cut the melianthus back. Now it has flowers in the sky

That’s a different angle - I had to think about where that is!

Always bloom a little later in Bickleigh Vale than out in the ‘hood.

Snowdrops galore in the wilds of our garden. Slowly clearing some wilderness in readiness for Spring.
