An attempt to capture the late autumn tones of Edna’s Aspens. The golden glow of the Aspens of Bickleigh Vale seen in the background here. Edna included them for their spectacular autumn display. She was well aware of their suckering habit and there is now a stunning advance of them through several properties. Every year it’s worth waiting for at the end of autumn. Just as the ivy and maple colour is fading and the oaks have almost finished they will bring a smile to an almost winters day. The real beauty is in how they fade from golden to various shades of orange and ochre. Then of course they fall, fade to black smother everything and take around 10 years to decompose!! Well almost. Such beautiful autumn colour. Mr 2 did proclaim that we must put the leaves back up!! Bless
