Two of our Golden Rain wattles have died over the past few months and it was decided that they've become a hazard and needed to be removed. Characteristic of the Acacia prominens is that they are fast growing - but short-lived. They quickly reach 15 metres or so in height, flower beautifully for a few years and then drop dead, Almost overnight. They Shire removed the one closest the road and cut the top off the other leaving a 3m stump (which will probably become ivy-covered.!) Before... After... October 2014
