I started to digging in a spot to plant a shrub, when I struck stone! Beneath 10 cm of bush litter I exposed a long covered pathway. And with a bit more digging of another sort, I found a photograph of the original pathway. See photos 'now and then' below. The bridges have disappeared, as has the waterway or pond that presumably flowed under it. I also a discovered a rock retaining wall along the edge of the property just beyond these photos.

Hello. I see you live at Whistlewood. I was showing it to a lady in England where I currently live and told her all about the estate. My mother owned the property from roughly the early to mid nineties until her death in 2007. Her husband did the somewhat dodgy “renovations” which I see have seen been completed by subsequent owners. Anyway, feel free to reach out with any questions. It has been lovely to see how wonderful it looks now. We have many happy memories and parties held there. Regards , Kim 2/9/2025 04:31:29 pm
Jake Baturynsky Gardens did an outstanding job with our excavation project. The team worked efficiently and handled the site with great care. Highly recommend their services! Comments are closed.
