Summer

​Xmas was wonderful at Badgers Wood.  We had two groups of family through for lunch and for dinner. Lunch was under the elm on one long table.  The perfect spot to keep out of the sun and to relax over far too much food.  The pool was also a hit with the kids.  For dinner we sat under the crabapple drinking and chatting before a candlelight dinner under the pergola. Lovely.


The garden has settled into its summer phase with different flowers emerging.  I hadn't noticed the St John's Wart before but it has taken off this year, providing a background of yellow and green, with the bluey/purple of the agapanthus and the wisteria's 2nd flush.

We look forward to some relaxing weeding before a swim and a BBQ.
